Best Hiking Trails in Ibiza for Nature Lovers
Exploring Ibiza’s Natural Beauty
Hello everyone, Manon here! As someone who splits her time between the Netherlands and Ibiza, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the natural beauty of this enchanting island. One of my favorite ways to unwind and connect with nature is through hiking. There’s something truly magical about wandering through the serene landscapes of Ibiza, discovering hidden gems along the way. Today, I want to share with you some of my favorite hiking trails that offer the perfect blend of adventure and tranquility.
Why Hiking in Ibiza is a Must-Do
Ibiza is often celebrated for its vibrant nightlife, but its natural beauty is just as captivating. Hiking allows you to see a different side of the island, one that is peaceful, pristine, and filled with breathtaking scenery. Whether you’re an avid hiker or just looking for a leisurely walk, Ibiza has trails that cater to all levels.
Morning Hike to Es Vedrà
7:00 AM – Start Your Day with a Legendary View
One of the most iconic hikes on the island is the trail to Es Vedrà. This mystical island rock off the southwest coast of Ibiza is steeped in legend and offers one of the most stunning views you’ll ever see. I usually start this hike early in the morning to catch the sunrise. The trail is moderately challenging but absolutely worth it. As you ascend, the panoramic views of the sea and the surrounding cliffs are simply breathtaking.

Mid-Morning Walk in Ses Salines Natural Park
9:00 AM – Discover the Diversity of Ibiza’s Flora and Fauna
After a hearty breakfast back at Valley Club Ibiza, another fantastic spot for a morning hike is Ses Salines Natural Park. This park is famous for its salt flats, sand dunes, and diverse bird species. The trails here are relatively flat and easy, making it perfect for a relaxed walk. The peaceful environment and the chance to see flamingos make it a special experience.
Midday Exploration in Cala d’Albarca
11:00 AM – Hidden Gems Along the Coast
One of my personal favorites is the hike to Cala d’Albarca. This secluded cove is located on the northwestern coast of Ibiza and offers a more challenging trail. The path winds through dense forests and along steep cliffs, but the effort is rewarded with stunning views of the rugged coastline and crystal-clear waters. It’s a great spot for a picnic, so I often pack a light lunch to enjoy by the sea.
Lunch Break at Valley Club Ibiza
1:00 PM – Refresh and Recharge
After a morning of exploring, I like to return to Valley Club Ibiza for a refreshing break. Our garden offers a peaceful retreat where I can relax and enjoy some fresh fruit from our trees. It’s the perfect way to recharge before heading out for an afternoon adventure.
Afternoon Adventure to Atlantis
3:00 PM – Discover the Secret Cove
Another hidden gem that’s worth the hike is Atlantis, also known as Sa Pedrera. This former quarry has been transformed into a stunning cove with rock formations that resemble a surreal, otherworldly landscape. The hike down to Atlantis is steep and can be tricky, but the unique scenery and the tranquil waters make it an unforgettable experience. It’s a great spot for a swim, so don’t forget your swimsuit!
